I had a...

I had an hour and a half long chat to Steph, it felt good. A communication difficulty was probably the main problem, but i think we have come to some form of understanding...In other news... i have only had three cigarettes today! That's damn good for me!I was being philosopical about 5 minutes ago, with a cigarette in hand no less but i'm trying to get inside the mind of people. Lefties are generally people who are negative... positivally negative i would argue, and all for the best. But right wingers/conservatives ehat are they? Are they not negative or angsty like us? Is it apathy or "contentment?" What drives them? A desire to maintain the status quo? This isn't picking on them, this is just curious...now I'm off to drink heaps of coffee and do a history all nighter... Damn Australian History!!!

I had this tho...

I had this thought, once i had to write down the best an worst books i've ever read... so maybe i'll give a another shotWorst books1. Looking for Alibrandi - Melina Marchetta Why? Because she annoys me, because it's badly written and all the protagonist does is whinge. "They tease me coz i'm a wog, they don't like me coz i'm a wog, i have a fucking identity crisis." It's a load of bullshit, a second generation European doesn't cop shit like that unless they ask for it. She does.2. Laura Palmer's diary - Jennifer LynchI love Twin Peaks and this book has some interesting subject matter, but it is written TERRIBLY!!!! Jennifer Lynch cannot not direct, see "Boxing Helena," or write anything worth it.3. The Divine Wind - Garry DisherWe did this in year 10, and god knows why but it's on the year 12 booklist. I don't hate it i suppose, its just an empty, hollow and practically anorexic tale that seeks to be more than it is.Nothing else comes to mind. although i maintain that John Marsden is overrated.Best books1. Recollections of a Bleeding Heart - Don WatsonOk,ok.. it's a political book, but it is interesting, engaging and wonderfully written. By the end you are left distraught that Paul Keating lost the '96 election, if you weren't already.2. Memoirs of a Geisha - Arthur GoldenIt's been a long time since i picked this one up, but it is a remarkably succint glimpse into an alien culture and ideally "timed" in Japan's 20th century peak, that is pre WW2. It is touching, heartfelt and utterly real.3. The Bell Jar - Sylvia PlathOk, I love her anyway but The Bell Jar is a coming-of-age in the 50's story written in beautiful prose!4. Anything by Irvine WelshOk, at times it can be filthy and vulgar and you are forced to read large chunks out loud to understand the Scottish accent he writes in, especially in Trainspotting, but you can't deny its originality.5. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy - Douglas AdamsIt makes me giggle! This five part trilogy is fucking hilarious. Daring and bold social commentary in a frustrating intergalactic adventure.6. The Things They Carried - Tim O'BrienThis year's booklist, haven't even began studying it yet. I just fucking love it, wait until I figure out why.I'm going to add to this list, when I remember books...i realised i have one other option***continue school and if i fuck up, do a whole lot of short art courses, get a folio together and get into art school ;DHehe, quizzes follow... (thx Caz)You are one of Gigers' many sculptures this beingBiomechanoid. Sometimes you might come acrossas arrogant but really you are just a deepthinker. Which Piece of H.R.
